About me
I am a freelance journalist and author publishing features and short stories. Previous to coming to live in France I edited Women in Enterprise magazine and published articles on my specialist subjects, and also many based on my various hobbies.
Now I live in a small village in South West France with my husband, my collection of bonsai trees, and my water-colour painting equipment with which I try to create chinese style master pieces! My interest in small antiques continues as does that in wine and cookery, and restaurant evaluations.
Before retiring I was a Management Consultant specialising in Small Firms Development and Personal Development, as well as Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety.. Working with enterprises such as Burtons, Laura Ashley, Litlewoods, Levis and other major companies I travelled the UK, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and northern Europe. In 1984 I founded Women in Enterprise, a national charitable organisation in the U.K, and was Chairperson of this until my retirement in 1989 and was nominated for the Yorkshire Woman of the Year Award.
